Watsonville to Launch New Website and Update Logo
The City of Watsonville's new website will officially launch on May 3.

From the City of Watsonville: The City of Watsonville is excited to announce that big changes are coming as we work on revamping our communication efforts and rebranding our City image, including a new website, community newsletter, City logo and branding campaign. The City’s new website here, will officially launch May 3, 2017 and is built on a new powerful, efficient, and user-friendly content management system that will help users surf the city’s website with greater ease and offer online services such as utility bill pay, employment submissions, and will eventually allow users to search available commercial properties, and customize the information they receive all from the convenience of their home or any mobile device.
“Launching a new City website that is user-friendly and allows content to be displayed properly on both mobile devices and desktop computers has been a top priority of mine," said City Manager Charles Montoya. “Our goal is to create a website, where residents, business owners, and visitors can easily find the information they need.”
“We are constantly seeking to improve the delivery of services to our residents, visitors, and businesses,” said Mayor Oscar Rios. “Our citizens want the latest information in an easy to find format, and they want 24/7 access to City services. We responded, and this improved website should help.

As part of the new look and feel of the website, the City worked with McDill and Associates to refresh the City logo and the Our Town newsletter to reflect the beauty of our community. The new website, logo and newsletter will help implement a consistent look and feel that aids in the creation of a strong city identity, builds recognition for the city and is representative of the forward-thinking and collaborative leadership that exemplifies Watsonville. The new logo will be phased in over time and will eventually replace decals on City-owned vehicles, letterhead, badges and uniforms, street signs, parks and buildings.
“We want to tell a new story about Watsonville – one that captures the strong community spirit, attractive location, and unique personalities of our diverse residents and businesses,” Assistant City Manager Matt Huffaker said.
