Watsonville Library, Senior Center Offer Free At-Home COVID Tests

People can pick up a free at-home tests while they last.

WATSONVILLE, CA — Update: As of 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Watsonville Senior Center is out of tests for the day and plans to have more by Thursday morning.

The Watsonville Public Library and the Watsonville Senior Center are offering free at-home COVID tests to the community, the City of Watsonville said on Facebook.

Tests can be picked up at either of the Watsonville Public Libraries, located at 275 Main Street and 2021 Freedom Boulevard.

The library hours for the Main Street location are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the branch is closed Saturday and Sunday.

The Watsonville Freedom Branch Library is open 10 a.m to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Saturday hours are 12 pm. to 4 p.m. and this branch is closed on Sunday and Monday.

The Watsonville Senior Center is located at 114 East 5th Street. Their program hours are from 9:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.

As of the morning of March 9, there are 46,931 known COVID cases among Santa Cruz County residents and 1,084 active cases, according to the Health Services Agency of Santa Cruz County.

Update: The senior center told Patch they were out of tests of March 9 but hope to have more by the following morning.
