Los Angeles firefighters responded to smoke showing on the roof of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Friday but it was quickly extinguished after confirming the cause was a bad HVAC unit, according to reports.
Units, including helicopters, responded at approximately 11:20 a.m. and requested additional firefighters. By 11:35 a.m. the request was cancelled and the fire was out. No injuries were reported.
The cause is under investigation, however, @BHScanner reported on Twitter that the fire was on top of the south tower and it was a malfunctioning HVAC unit.
