Deputy Injured During West Hollywood Traffic Stop, Suspect Sought
Authorities are seeking the public's help to find a driver responsible for injuring a sheriff's deputy during a West Hollywood traffic stop.
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA -- Authorities today sought the public's help to find a motorist responsible for seriously injuring a sheriff's deputy during a traffic stop in West Hollywood.
Deputies were trying to stop the Gray, 2022 Dodge Challenger about 4:35 p.m. Thursday near Hilldale Avenue and Cynthia Street, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported.
``However, the vehicle tried to evade the responding deputies,'' the sheriff's department said in a statement.

``As the suspect vehicle drove past the deputies, the vehicle hit the open passenger door of a patrol vehicle, striking the deputy with the door, causing serious injury to the deputy,'' the statement said. ``The suspect vehicle then drove away at a high rate of speed and out of view.''
The Dodge had a Nevada license plate number 802-W31, according to the sheriff's department.
