West Hollywood to Ring In New Year with a #Boom
The city is hosting its annual alcohol- and drug-free New Year's Eve celebration.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA -- On New Year's Eve, join in the fun and celebrate the first moments of 2017 at the fourth-annual #BOOM!, West Hollywood's premier alcohol- and drug-free New Year's Eve event. #BOOM! will bring several hundred people together for a celebration with a DJ, dancing, food, photo booth, and more!
#BOOM! will take place on the evening of Saturday, December 31, 2016, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., at the West Hollywood Park Auditorium, located at 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard. This year's theme is 'Superheroes' - so, grab your capes and masks and come dressed as your favorite superhero or villain! Marky Make Up will be there with free body art; there will be a costume contest and a 'Be Your Own Hero' Super Station; and at midnight there will be an alcohol-free toast and balloon drop. Admission is free and limited validated parking will be available in the adjacent West Hollywood Park five-story parking structure.
The city of West Hollywood will also offer free special CityLineX shuttle service to connect #BOOM! to the Metro Red Line station at Hollywood and Highland. Shuttles going toward the event will depart from the west side of Highland Avenue, just south of Hollywood Boulevard, every 30 minutes from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. with one final departure from Hollywood at approximately 10 p.m. Shuttles will stop at La Brea Avenue and at Fairfax Avenue en route to the destination stop at San Vicente Boulevard. Shuttles leaving from the event to Hollywood and Highland will depart every 30 minutes beginning at 7:30 p.m., with more frequent shuttles just after midnight; the last shuttle will depart at 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, January 1, 2017.
