West Hollywood's Millions of Milkshakes Closes
Despite long lines, millions of milkshakes combinations and throngs of celebrities endorsing the joint, the hype, it seems, couldn't last.
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA -- What happened to a little milkshake shop in West Hollywood could be seen as Tinseltown in a microcosm.
Millions of Milkshakes has apparently closed its doors for good, according to Yelpers. Despite the long lines, millions of milkshakes combinations and throngs of celebrities endorsing the joint, it seems the hype couldn't last.
The shop got its start in the most Hollywood way possible -- by a paparazzo. Millions of Milkshakes owner, Sheeraz Hasan, was one of Hollywood paparazzi and even had a TMZ-style TV show for a while called "Tinseltown TV."

The Millions of Milkshakes first opened in 2008 with a simple gimmick -- more than 75 million milkshake combinations. The price has always been on the high side but the constant endorsement of celebrities made it the place to be seen. The shop even has a step-and-repeat style wall where you can snap a shot of celebrities or a selfie. Those shots often end up on the shop's social media pages (which have all been taken down). No one answered the phone when Patch called and the shop's voicemail is full.
Celebrities such as Shaquille O'Neal, Pamela Anderson, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and the Kardashians have been known to frequent the joint. But like all things in Hollywood, what was once red-hot can become ice cold overnight. So it seems, Millions of Milkshakes will become just another minor footnote on in the ever-changing landscape of La-La Land. And just like Hollywood, the international market seems to be kinder. Millions of Milkshakes franchise locations in Dubai, Kuwait, Bahrain, Shanghai and Hangzhou are still open.
