Firefighters Douse Kitchen Fire in Woodland Hills

No injuries were reported today in a kitchen fire at a Woodland Hills home.

The blaze at the one-story residence at 6640 N. Shoup Ave., just south of Vanowen Street, was reported at 4:24 p.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott.

The flames were extinguished in 18 minutes by 27 firefighters, he said.

A damage estimate was not immediately available.
