WOODLAND HILLS, CA — We all know student-athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

Why do you believe the star student-athlete should be recognized?

Mackenzie is an amazing girl who works on her skills and game every day. She plays on multiple teams, helps mentor other kids, excels at school and shows up 💯 for everything she does. Her weekends are spent traveling around the western states playing in tournaments with her various teams. This summer she played for Team USA at the Gothia Cup in Europe.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student-athlete?

That she puts her heart and soul into everything she does!
