• Winters Man Arrested After Standoff with Police for Threatening to Shoot Mother (hoodline.com) — A Winters man was arrested after a multi-hour standoff in which he allegedly threatened to shoot his mother, drawing in Yolo County SWAT, the Sheriff’s crisis negotiators, and Woodland Police K-9 units. Officers used flashbangs and tear gas before he surrendered and was booked into Yolo County Jail on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges. The case underscores the serious local law-enforcement response capabilities in Yolo County.
