COLORADO -- Colorado resident Kelsie Jean Schelling was eight weeks pregnant when she was murdered more than four years ago. Now, authorities have a suspect. The Pueblo Police Department announced this week that Schelling's former boyfriend, Donthe Isiah Lucas has been arrested in connection to the 2013 murder.
Lucas, 25, faces charges of first degree murder. He is currently being held without bond. Lucas was already in custody on unrelated charges when authorities served him with an arrest warrant, police said.
Schelling, who was from Denver, was 21 when she was murdered. An investigation showed Schelling was killed after she drove to Pueblo to visit Lucas, her child's father, according to ABC7.
