Colorado Dad Arrested In Connection To Newborn's Death

LAKEWOOD, CO -- A Colorado man was arrested this week for allegedly abusing his 3-month-old daughter to the point where she died. Kelly Ray Kerr was arrested in Lakewood on Dec. 21, police said.

The Denver Post said police believe the abuse happened in July when Olivia Hobbs stopped breathing.

"Kerr was the only other person inside the home with the girl at the time," the Post reported. "The baby died days later at the hospital."

Police told the newspaper that the baby had many "serious injuries."
