MONTROSE, Colo. (CBS4)– More mail and packages are being stolen in Montrose. The Montrose County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging residents to be cautious.

Investigators say there are things people can do to prevent theft like turning on delivery alerts, not leaving mail or packages in plain sight, and reporting any stolen items to a postal inspector.
