COLORADO -- A Texas man accused of kidnapping two girls last weekend was arrested in Colorado late Wednesday. The girls, Luluvioletta Mariposo Bandera-Margret, 7, and Lilianais Victoria Cake Griffith, 14, were safe, police said.
Police said the children's mother, Tonya Bates, was found dead in her home in Round Rock, Texas on Saturday. They believe Miles, Bates' roommate, then kidnapped the girls and took them to Colorado.

Court documents obtained by Fox 7 show that Miles has a long criminal history dating back to the time he lived in Sulphur Springs, La., including arrests for theft, burglary, possession of child pornography and multiple charges for domestic abuse. A Louisiana sheriff told the news station the Round Rock case involving Miles is similar to an open investigation in that state.
"In Round Rock it's also a beating, which is the same manner of death which we never disclosed, before this time so it certainly fits his MO, if that is true and what's going on we know that he likes to beat on women because he's got several domestic abuse and battery charges," the sheriff told the news station.
