2 In Custody After Arvada Barricade, Truck Stolen: Police

Two people barricaded themselves inside an Arvada home after a truck was stolen, police said.

ARVADA, CO — Two people were taken into custody after they barricaded themselves inside a home in Arvada, police said. A shelter-in-place has been lifted.

Officers were called around 1 a.m. to the 6000 block of Estes Street after a report of a stolen truck, police said.

Both people were wanted on felony warrants and refused to leave the home, according to the Arvada Police Department.

One person was taken into custody after several hours, but the other remained barricaded for several more hours until they were arrested, police said.

The truck was stolen Monday in Denver, police said.
