2 Shot Near I-76 And Federal In Adams County

A man and a woman were found with gunshot wounds in a vehicle, deputies said.

ADAMS COUNTY, CO — Two people were shot Tuesday night in the Berkley community in Adams County.

Deputies were called to West 56th Avenue and Wyandot Street, near Interstate 76 and Federal Boulevard, after they received a report of multiple shots fired just before 9:30 p.m.

A man and a woman were found with gunshot wounds in a vehicle, the Adams County Sheriff's Office said. They were hospitalized, but their condition was not known.

It's unclear whether the shooting was a drive-by.

Deputies were searching for a suspect as of Tuesday night, Denver7 reported. A shelter-in-place was temporarily issued for the Berkley area.
