• Colorado woodworkers create 3K handmade toys for kids, with help from artists and Santa (kdvr.com) — From right here in Arvada, volunteers with the Colorado Woodworkers Guild have helped turn scrap hardwood into 3,000 handmade toys for kids in hospitals, specialty schools, and shelters across Colorado. Partnering with decorative artists and a bearded Santas group, they crafted durable wooden cars, helicopters, and kinetic toys that became some children’s only Christmas gifts, including at Denver’s Anchor Center for Blind Children.
