ARVADA, CO – Several cars were damaged and a busy grocery store parking lot was blocked off Friday afternoon in Arvada as police arrested four people. Traffic was blocked around 80th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard around 3:30 p.m. after officers were called to investigate an alleged shoplifting incident at a grocery store, Arvada police Spokesman Detective David Snelling said. As officers showed, four people in a car tried to flee the scene, causing damage to three other cars and a squad car. All four people were arrested and their vehicle was found to be stolen, Snelling said, but it was unclear where it was taken from.
