Alleged Shoplifting And Auto Theft Lead To Arvada Arrests
Several cars were wrecked as Arvada police tried to stop an alleged shoplifting incident Friday.

ARVADA, CO – Several cars were damaged and a busy grocery store parking lot was blocked off Friday afternoon in Arvada as police arrested four people.
Traffic was blocked around 80th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard around 3:30 p.m. after officers were called to investigate an alleged shoplifting incident at a grocery store, Arvada police Spokesman Detective David Snelling said. As officers showed, four people in a car tried to flee the scene, causing damage to three other cars and a squad car.
All four people were arrested and their vehicle was found to be stolen, Snelling said, but it was unclear where it was taken from.

Police did not immediately release the names of the people taken into custody.
