Arvada Announces New, Second Deputy City Manager
The city's new deputy city manager will serve alongside its existing deputy city manager.

ARVADA, CO — The City of Arvada announced Monday that it is appointing a second deputy city manager.
The new deputy, Linda Haley, previously served as the director of human resources for Arvada and has 23 years of experience working in local government, according to a news release. Haley also led Arvada's response to COVID-19 for the past two years.
"Linda has every quality we are looking for in a senior leader of our organization," said City Manager Mark Deven. "Her deep knowledge of our organization, empathy for both the City team and the community, and passion for public service will be invaluable as we meet the opportunities and challenges ahead."

This second deputy position was approved as a part of Arvada's 2022 budget to best respond to the growing needs of the city, according to the news release. Haley, who has lived in Arvada for the past 14 years with her family, holds a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Wyoming.
"I’m incredibly grateful to the city’s leadership team for their confidence in appointing me to deputy city manager," Haley said. "I am eager to get started and look forward to serving our great community and city team in this new role."
