Arvada Homicide Victim Identified, Man Faces Murder Charges
Joseph McCreery was shot to death Monday in Arvada, police said.
ARVADA, CO — A man who was shot and killed Monday in Arvada has been identified as 23-year-old Joseph McCreery, police said.
Officers and firefighters were called to a home in the 11500 block of W 70 Place at 1:41 p.m., and found Anthony Aguilera-Rivera, 20, in the home with McCreery's body, the Arvada Police Department said.
McCreery was found in the home's basement with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

The two knew each other and were staying in the house, according to police. They were the only two people in the home at the time, officials said.

Aguilera-Rivera was arrested and taken to the Jefferson County jail, where he is being held. He faces first-degree murder charges.
