Arvada School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

ARVADA, CO — The first day of school in Arvada is August 16 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Jefferson County School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/16: First Day of School

September

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/21: Early Release (Grades K-8)

October

• 10/12: No School

November

• 11/2: Early Release (Grades K-8)
• 11/19 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1 - 1/8: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/15: Early Release (Grades K-8)
• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/15: Early Release (Grades K-8)
• 3/25 - 3/29: No School (Spring Recess)

April

• 4/26: Early Release (Grades K-8)

May

• 5/23: Last Day of School
