ARVADA, CO — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes who are making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.
A nurse from Arvada has received a whopping three nominations. Marissa Chabai's friends and family say she's a dedicated, caring person who is always helping others.

Nomination No. 1:
Hero's job: Marissa is an operating room nurse and a licensed mental health therapist.
Relationship to nominee: Marissa is my lovely Bride of one year as of August 7th, 2020.
Reason for recognition: As a front line worker in the hospital and mental health therapist, she devotes countless hours to helping others.
One thing to know: On top of the countless hours she spends with her patients, she also spends her personal time gathering PPE for those who are in need and has volunteered at COVID-19 testing sites, always putting others first as her personal obligation.

Relationship to nominee: She is my sister-in-law.
Reason for recognition: Marissa is a very dedicated nurse who is the most caring person. She always expresses herself in truthful but loving manner, even while helping people with addictions. Her time is always giving to others before herself. She is the definition of hero.
One thing to know: Everybody loves her.

Relationship to nominee: Friend
Reason for recognition: Marissa has a good heart and cares about others.
One thing to know: She cares about her community and the people who she works with and also her patients.
