Halloween Events A-Plenty In Arvada
It's October, and time for Halloween and fall activities throughout the month at the libraries, Apex Center, Duncan YMCA and more.

ARVADA, CO – October is here, and Arvada kids and families have fun activities they can attend at Arvada's library branches. There are also spooky and candy-filled events planned for Arvada's Olde Town, the Duncan YMCA, Majestic View Nature Center and the Apex Rec Center.
Here are some of the Halloween-themed events planned this month in Arvada:

- Friday, Oct, 12: Teens After Dark: Movie Monster Makeup 6-8 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 18: Dia de los Muertos: Sugar Skulls / Calaveras de Azúcar (En Espanol & bilingual) 5-6 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 18: Fandemonium Costume Creation Workshop 6-8 p.m.
- 10/25-10/31 After School Halloween Scavenger Hunt 3-8 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 27: Teens After Dark: Halloween Party 6-8 p.m.

- Saturday, Oct. 27: Fandemonium Costume Creation Workshop 1-3 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 27: Teens After Dark: Apocalypse Night (The Zombies Are Coming...) 6-8 p.m. Registration required.

- Friday Oct. 26: Halloween Carnival Children ages 1 - 10. Enjoy ghoulish games, inflatables, a hayride and much more; costumes encouraged! $7. Adults are free with paying child.

Majestic View Nature Center

- Friday, Oct. 26: Pumpkin Carving and Stories Ages 10+, $12 (includes cost of pumpkin) Jack O'Lanterns can be scary, but sneak into the history behind them and they're pretty cool! Carve your own pumpkin as we share stories about pumpkins and this holiday tradition. *If weather is nice, pumpkin carving will be outdoors. Please wear clothes that are OK to get gooey while carving.
Olde Town Arvada
7307 Grandview Ave Arvada, CO 80003
- Friday, Oct. 26: Trick or Treat Street in Olde Town Arvada: Bring your little monsters, goblins and ghouls to Olde Town Arvada for free Trick or Treating at participating businesses. Candy will be given out from 5-7 p.m., or while supplies last. Stop by Olde Town Square to participate in our costume contest and win great prizes. This contest will be judged by votes on social media after the event.
Duncan YMCA Annual Halloween Party
6350 Eldridge St Arvada, CO 80004
- Saturday, Oct. 27: Whether you're looking for a kid friendly haunted experience, carnival games for all ages or are one of the brave ones to enter our all new Nightmare on Eldridge Street Haunted House, we have it all for you! 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Free for YMCA Members and $5 per family of Non-Members.
