A driver sustained minor injures after Arvada officers chased a stolen vehicle at high speeds through town. A juvenile driver was arrested.

ARVADA, CO – A stolen car involved in a high speed pursuit through Arvada Tuesday afternoon crashed into another car on West 50th Avenue, Arvada police said in a statement. The juvenile driver of the stolen Subaru sedan attempted to escape on foot, but was taken into custody, as were two juvenile passengers. The driver of the other vehicle was treated for minor injuries, police said.
Denver police asked for assistance around 3 p.m., to follow the Subaru which had been reportedly stolen from Aurora in a carjacking with a weapon, Arvada police said. The fleeing sedan exited I- 70 and drove north on Kipling Street. Arvada officers got behind the car as it traveled through neighborhoods. Police tried to use a Starchase GPS dart on the fleeing car, but the car sped up traveling eastbound on West 58th Avenue in the westbound lanes. The car then turned south on Kipling Parkway and then crashed with another car traveling eastbound on West 50th.
Police did not identify the arrested driver or the other passengers.
