Yenter is accused of allegedly having a sexual relationship with a minor girl, beginning in October, 2017 when she was 15 years old. The girl told police she first met Yenter or "JD" when she and a friend stole drugs from him, the affidavit said. She said that she was passed out in a home in Greeley when Yenter forced himself on her, sexually, "I was in a room with him, and it was locked. and I remember him telling me that like bad things are going to happen to me, and I needed to not have sticky fingers in everything. and I started crying, and like I was telling him, I was all like I'm only 15 bro, like don't," she told police.

Arvada police and a Jefferson County team that works to identify juveniles who are "at elevated risk for victimization of crimes including to but not limited to human trafficking" worked on the case, the arrest affidavit said.

The girl provided police with phone evidence of Yenter pestering her for sex, via text, over the next couple of months, asking her for nude photographs and offering her money for oral sex. The girl told police that Yenter "lived in the mountains and carried a handgun." When she needed money, she told police, she sent Yenter nude or semi-nude pictures of herself. At one point she said she was molested by Yenter while riding in the passenger seat of a car he was driving. A male friend of the girl's told police Yenter had offered him $300 if Yenter could have sex with the girl, the affidavit said.

Yenter was arrested by Arvada and Aurora police on Sept. 20 around 7 p.m. in the 23000 block of East Alabama Drive in Aurora, Detective Dave Snelling for the Arvada Police Department said.

Yenter bonded out of Jefferson County Jail for $25,000.

Yenter is next scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17, according to online court dockets.
