Man Shot Near Arvada West High School: Police Investigating
Police said a man was shot in the 11200 block of West 63rd Place Thursday night.

ARVADA, CO – A man was found by police after being shot and wounded near Arvada West High School Thursday night.
Police were dispatched to the area of West 63rd Place and Quail Street around 7:55 p.m. to investigate reports of gunshots, a statement from police said. Officers found an injured man who appeared to have been shot. He was taken to a hospital, and his condition was unknown as of Thursday night, police said.
The case is still being investigated and police said they had "several active leads in reference to the suspect." No arrest had been made Thursday. Police said they did not believe there was any danger to the community.

Arvada Police are investigating a shooting 63/ Quail involving one victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital and his condition is unknown. Active leads on the suspect are being investigated. No further threat to the community.
