ARVADA, CO – A man was found by police after being shot and wounded near Arvada West High School Thursday night. Police were dispatched to the area of West 63rd Place and Quail Street around 7:55 p.m. to investigate reports of gunshots, a statement from police said. Officers found an injured man who appeared to have been shot. He was taken to a hospital, and his condition was unknown as of Thursday night, police said.The case is still being investigated and police said they had "several active leads in reference to the suspect." No arrest had been made Thursday.
