Man Steals Vehicles, Strikes Employee Near Arvada: Sheriff
Zavier Lee Ford, 27, was arrested in connection with multiple crimes in the Arvada area, the Jeffco Sheriff's Office said.
ARVADA, CO — A man is accused of stealing several vehicles and using one to seriously injure an employee near Sheridan Boulevard and West 56th Avenue, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said.
Zavier Lee Ford, 27, was arrested Tuesday in connection with multiple crimes, including aggravated robbery, first-degree assault and aggravated motor vehicle theft, officials said.
Deputies were called to Sheridan and 56th on July 8 after reports of a multiple-vehicle crash. Ford was driving a stolen silver sedan that involved in the crash, the sheriff's office said.

Ford then fled to a nearby business and stole a white work truck, according to authorities.

Two employees tried to stop Ford from driving away in the truck, and one was struck by the vehicle, deputies said. The employee suffered serious injuries.
Ford was booked into the Jefferson County Detention Facility.
