New Outlet Mall Opens Thursday With Special Events All Weekend
Denver Premium Outlets will offer entertainment – and maybe a chance to find a job – at Grand Opening weekend events.

THORNTON, CO – Thursday's grand opening at Denver Premium Outlets in Thornton kicks off a weekend of live music, fireworks and events for children, such as a performing dog show.
The new 330,000 sq. ft. complex at Interstate 25 and 136th Avenue has been designed as a "destination," according to owners Indiana-based Simon Property Group. The project plans a total of 80 shops.
The retail outlets will feature merchandise at 25-65 percent off, the company promised. Simon also owns two malls in Lakewood: Colorado Mills and Denver West Village.

The mall has been designed with public spaces including "an interactive, progressive Play Park for children of all ages, water features, a fireplace and architectural shade structures with custom furniture, soft seating arrangements, free Wi-Fi throughout the center and a media lounge with phone charging stations and TVs," a press release said.
The mall will also feature original public art pieces.

Opening Day is officially Thursday. Throughout the weekend, live local bands will perform, including: Spinphony, The Long Run, "Colorado's Tribute to The Eagles", SOUL X, The JV3, and the Raising Cain Band, organizers said.
For the Grand Opening Party on Saturday, Sept. 29 the mall will present:
- A stunt dog show by Canine Stars and pet adoption with pets from Dumb Friends League.
- A day's worth of live music
- Fireworks
The mall is still hiring. A job fair in August meant to find full- and part-time employees for 500 openings at the Westin Hotel was under-attended, the Denver Post reported.
