ATV Rider Seriously Injured In Boulder County Wreck
A Denver man was airlifted to a hospital after a crash in the National Forest that left him unconscious.

BOULDER COUNTY, CO – A Denver man was seriously injured in an ATV crash on National Forest property Sunday afternoon, and had to be airlifted to a hospital.
The Boulder County Sheriff's Office responded around 1 p.m. to an area near State Hwy. 7 and State Hwy. 72, near Lyons. The 24-year-old ATV driver had injuries on his head and chest. He was unconscious when rescuers arrived.
Along with sheriff deputies, rescue personnel from Allenspark Fire Department, Estes Park Ambulance Service and the Northern Colorado Medivac Service responded, the Boulder Sheriff's office said.

It was unclear whether he had been wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, the sheriff's office said. An Estes Park Ambulance crew treated the patient and he was air lifted by Northern Colorado Medivac Service to an area hospital.
