Rain Floods Boulder Intersection, Causes Damage
Rainfall Sunday evening flooded the Balsam Avenue and Ninth Street intersection.

BOULDER, CO — Heavy rainfall flooded a Boulder intersection Sunday evening and engulfed several cars. No injuries were reported.
The flooding occurred at Ninth Street and Balsam Avenue, beside North Boulder Park. The intersection was blocked off Sunday night by city workers while the damage was assessed.
"Community members should exercise caution when visiting the North Boulder Park playground due to impacts from the recent rainstorm," city officials said in a tweet Monday.

"The city will be cleaning up the area and should be done in 2-3 days."
Photos show a vehicle stuck in more than a foot of water, and another car was damaged by the flooding, The Denver Post reported. Police also received reports of damaged buildings, according to the Post.
