City And County Of Broomfield: Upcoming Road Closure: U.S. 287

February 28, 2022

U.S. 287 will be closed just south of Dillon Road, from Mar. 21 - 26. This road closure is due to BNSF Railway repairing the railroad tracks. This detour map highlights the exact location of the rail and closure, proposed detours and location of the Variable Message Boards (VMB). Delays are expected as traffic is re-routed through Broomfield.  

The railroad crossing is not in Broomfield and on a CDOT highway. BNSF has full authority to close the road at any time on their right of way (ROW). If questions arise, BNSF provides an online contact form on their website.
