Suspects Wanted In Connection With Deadly Crime Spree in Denver

One person was killed and another was critically injured in two separate shootings, Denver police said.

DENVER, CO — Denver police are searching for three vehicles that are wanted in connection with a crime spree that left one person dead and another in critical condition. Police are searching for at least four suspects.

The first crime was reported around 10 p.m. in the 2700 block West Alameda Avenue. A group was breaking into a vehicle and pointed a gun at witnesses, police said.

A driver was then carjacked at gunpoint around 10:50 p.m. near Colfax Avenue and Grape Street, according to authorities. No injuries were reported.

Then a man was ordered to the ground, robbed and shot just after 11 p.m. in the 1500 block of Lafayette Street, police said. The man was hospitalized in critical condition, according to authorities.

Then an 18-year-old student was walking outside the Orthodox Jewish school Yeshiva Toras Chaim in the 1500 block of Stuart Street just after 11:30 p.m., when he was shot and killed by the group, police said.

“It does not appear that this is a bias motivated crime; however, we are not ruling that out,” said Denver Police Chief Paul Pazen.

The group was also connected to a robbery in Lakewood, police said.

A description of the suspects was not available. Police are looking for the following vehicles:

  • A 2018 maroon Honda CRV, Colorado License Plate CGOW44.
  • A 2020 dark blue Toyota Camry, Colorado License Plate AGNZ29.
  • A black 1998 Toyota Rav 4, Colorado License Plate QFO701.

The suspects are considered armed and dangerous, police said.
