4 Shot, 16-Year-Old Killed At Quality Inn In Aurora

Police say four people were shot Wednesday evening at a Quality Inn hotel in Aurora. A 16-year-old boy was killed.

AURORA, CO — Four people were shot and a 16-year-old boy was killed Wednesday evening at a Quality Inn in Aurora, police said.

Aurora police were called around 7 p.m. Wednesday for a shooting inside the hotel, near the pool. Police officers found a teen boy with a gunshot wound who died at the hotel. His name wasn't immediately released.

Shortly after the shooting, police found two women, ages 19 and 20, who were also shot. Both women were taken to a hospital in serious condition, police said. The suspects fled the hotel before officers arrived.

Around 7:40 p.m., police learned a fourth person was shot who took themselves to a hospital. That person was expected to survive.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. Police didn't immediately have a description of possible suspects.

Anyone with information about shooting should call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720.913.7867. Anonymous tips can be left using Crime Stoppers. A reward of up to $2,000 was offered for details.

The teen's death marked Aurora's seventh killing this year.
