Arrest In Fatal Shootings Of Denver Homeless Trio
BREAKING: Maurice Butler, 38, is accused of killing three transient Denver residents. Police say killings were not random.

Denver, CO – Denver police announced Thursday they have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of three homeless people in Denver in August.
Maurice Butler, 38, is accused of killing Nicole "Nikki" Boston, 28, Jerome "Rome" Coronado, 39, and Chris "Little Cowboy" Zamudio, 44, in a remote corner of a parking lot at 765 S. Broadway near the Interstate-25 overpass.

Detectives identified Butler as a suspect, and said it appears that "at least two of the victims and Butler were known to each other." Police said it appeared the killings were not random.

Butler was arrested Aug. 13 for drug possession and a parole violation and has been held in Denver county jail since then.
Joe Montoya, DPD division chief of investigations, said the public's tips to the anonymous Crime Stoppers tippling helped identify Butler.
