Captured On Video: Cops Seek Alleged Suspects In Denver Shooting

Police released photos of two men in connection with the double shooting that killed a security guard.

DENVER, CO – Denver police released surveillance video images of two men sought in connection with a LoDo double shooting incident early Friday morning. Police are offering $2,000 for more information about the two men in the images and asking anyone with additional video from around 1:53 a.m. on 15th and Market Streets early Friday to come forward.

The incident happened in two locations over about 20 minutes. Around 1:53 a.m., Denver officers responded to a report of a shooting near 15th and Market Streets inDenver and found a wounded man, who was taken to a hospital.

Two men, one white and one black, captured on video are thought to have assaulted the wounded man in that location. The injured man was taken to a hospital, as officers searched the area for suspects, police said in a statement.

Shortly later, security guard Lucardio Kroener, 28, is thought to have confronted the black male near 14th and Market Streets. The two got into a physical altercation, and the man in the image is believed to have shot Kroener, who died on the scene.

According to reports, the man thought to have shot Kroener was described as between 25-35 years old, with a stocky build. He had braided hair, facial hair and was wearing a dark colored hoodie, police said. The suspect and others were observed fleeing the area on foot, police said.
