  1. A group of gig drivers in Colorado are abandoning Uber and Lyft to create their own ridesharing application. By establishing a driver's cooperative and launching their own ridesharing platform, gig workers in Colorado are seizing control of their careers and shaping their futures. The cooperative is owned and run by the drivers of Mile High, with support from the Rocky Mountain Employee Ownership Center. (Gazette)
  2. A bill supported by developers aimed at reforming metro districts has been passed by the Colorado legislature and awaits a signature by Gov. Polis. Over the past month, the legislation received unamended approval from the Colorado House of Representatives and easily passed its final vote. This legislation had bipartisan support and was supported by industry professionals and real estate developers from the metro district. (The Business Journals)
  3. Denver's STAR community program is being called for change by its participants, who claim that it's been misused. The Support Team Assisted Response Program (STAR) in Denver is facing accusations of frequent misuse, according to its members. They are calling for local officials to take action and enhance the program. (Denver VOICE)
  4. So far, no clear leader in the race for Denver Mayor. With 17 candidates running, a modern record, it may be difficult for voters to differentiate between the group of contenders. It could be that the current pool of mayoral hopefuls has yet to garner enough support from voters to motivate them to cast their ballots. A poll earlier in March revealed an extraordinary statistical tie among 11 candidates vying for the lead, despite millions being spent by several candidates. (CO Politics)
