- New public art coming to downtown Denver, at least temporarily. As part of the upcoming Cities Summit of the Americas, taking place from April 24-30, a temporary outdoor installation named "Pipelines" will be constructed in a small plaza located opposite Union Station, adjacent to the 16th Street Mall. The summit aims to bring together leaders from various fields including government, business, academia, culture, and arts from across the Western Hemisphere. (Local Today)
- A man from Englewood claims that his wheelchair was damaged by airline. After returning from a trip from Las Vegas to Denver last Thursday, Kelly Taylor received notification that his specialized wheelchair, which takes 2-4 months to design and costs between $2,000-$5,000, had been damaged during the trip. Frontier Airlines has issued a statement stating that they are currently paying for the damages to Taylor's wheelchair and will also be reimbursing him for his airfare. (FOX31)
- Record setting temperature spike happened Denver on Thursday morning. Denver experienced a remarkable surge in temperature, with the official reading increasing by 28 degrees in just one hour. This marks Denver's second-largest temperature increase within an hour since 1974. (9News)
- Red flag warnings in place for the metro area through Friday. According to the National Weather Service, when warm temperatures, low humidity, and strong winds combine, the conditions become conducive to the rapid spread of fire, leading to the issuance of a red flag warning. (KDVR)
