Colorado Springs Father Arrested After Baby Kidnapped

A man was arrested for child abuse after he left his newborn baby in a running truck.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- A father was arrested Tuesday after he left his newborn baby in a truck, which was then stolen.

Dustin Miles Sargent-Davis, 36, faces a misdemeanor for child abuse. He was served and released Tuesday, Colorado Springs Police Department said.

Police said Davis left his three-month-old daughterMonday in his truck with the engine running to go inside a business on 3500 block of North Carefree Circle. When he returned to the truck, it was gone.

She was found unharmed about 20 minutes later next to a dumpster, police said.

The truck, a 2007 Dodge pickup with the license plate OJL030, is still missing. or suspect who stole the truck has not been found.
