Crowdsourced Brewery MobCraft Will Expand To Denver This Winter

The brewery will team up with Pueblo's Dee Tacko and open in Curtis Park. The public can invest in it for a minimum of $250.

DENVER, CO — Wisconsin-based MobCraft is planning to open a brewery in Curtis Park this winter, one of three new locations that mark the company's expansion.

The brewery and Pueblo's Dee Tacko will team up to open at the former Liberati Brewery space (2403 Champa St.), PorchDrinking.com reported.

MobCraft produces beer on a "crowdfunded brew schedule," the brewery said on its website, and it is currently raising up to $2.25 million to open the Denver location – as well as one in Illinois and another in Wisconsin – over the next few years.

Anyone interested can invest in the company for a starting price of $250, and investors have "a stake in the brewing process" that includes a say in the types of beer the brewery produces.

"The COVID pandemic really made us dig into our business and explore the direction we wanted to expand in the future," MobCraft founder Henry Schwartz said. "Pilot breweries in communities that vibe with our crowdsourced mentality are what we want to build and customers who appreciate the variety of beers we brew are who we want to serve."

Curtis Park is a good choice for MobCraft – the neighborhood has the most craft breweries per capita in a square mile radius out of anywhere in the country, according to PorchDrinking.com.

"We are beyond excited for our future expansions," Kayla Thomas, MobCraft's director of operations, said. "Bringing our unique crowdsourced model and great beers to new U.S. locations allows us to build new relationships and invest in communities while cultivating a culture for beer."
