  1. A Denver man was sentenced to 48 years in prison after a jury found him guilty of killing his wife at their Denver home in 2019. The jury found Phillip Bivins guilty of killing his wife, Tia Bivins, in March and Denver District Judge Christopher Baumann sentenced him on Friday. The murder took place on Jul. 18, 2019.   2. For the third year in a row, and for the first time fully in person, the Denver Fringe Festival is returning! The festival runs from Jun. 23 through Jun. 26 with an expanded lineup of 40 original shows across 10 venues in the RiNo/Five Points neighborhoods. Bringing together a mix of local artists and national acts, the festival is just $15 a ticket for all performances. (FOX 31 Denver)

The 2022 Cherry Blossom Festival will be held on Saturday, Jun. 25, and Sunday, Jun. 26. The 49th annual festival, which celebrates Japanese culture through music, dance, exhibits, arts, crafts, dance and food, was not held in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. (9News.com KUSA)
