- The closure of a temporary homeless shelter will displace vulnerable residents. The Gathering Place, a nonprofit organization, will soon conclude its lease of a building utilized as emergency housing during the pandemic. The old motel, now owned by the Denver Housing Authority, was acquired in 2020 from the city's affordable housing funds, with no long-term intention of using it as a permanent housing solution. (CPR)
- Vehicle explosion sends huge flames over I-25. A vehicle fire on Friday morning caused a traffic disruption near Evans Avenue and Interstate 25. Denver Fire Department promptly responded to the incident, where they encountered flames emanating from the vehicle's front and open doors.
