- Mike Johnston is Denver's new Mayor-Elect. Denver has elected a new mayor. Mike Johnston secures 54 percent of vote over his runoff competitor as Brough conceded on Tuesday night. Johnston was endorsed by former Mayor Peña and numerous progressive candidates, marking a significant comeback for the resilient politician. (Denverite)
- Colorado photographer John Fielder's entire catalog is now available online. History Colorado has completed the digitization, cataloging, and organization of over 6,500 images representing John Fielder's remarkable career of nearly 50 years. This achievement follows Fielder's earlier donation of his life's work to History Colorado, with the intention of fostering a greater appreciation for nature and promoting climate action. (Gazette)
- More than $17 million has been spent on helping immigrants that have come Denver. Over the course of the past six months, the city of Denver has spent $17.3 million to provide shelter and assistance to more than 11,100 immigrants that have arrived in Denver from South and Central America. Recently the Denver City Council approved an additional $11,020,818 toward supporting the migrants. (CO Politics)
- Driver with fifth DUI charge after Jeffco crash receives prison sentence. Jason Sharrett, 52, was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to his fifth DUI charge. The conviction followed a multi-vehicle crash on C-470 in 2022. Sharrett had previously pleaded guilty to DUI-4th and aggravated vehicular assault on May 2, resulting in an 18-year prison term.
