Denver Traffic Will Be Congested For Mike Pence Visit: Police

Pence arrives at Buckley AFB in Aurora and will go to a private fundraiser at a Denver steakhouse. Expect traffic issues between 11a.m -2p.m

DENVER, CO – Vice President Mike Pence will swoop into Denver Thursday morning via Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, hit a private fundraiser and then zip off to Oklahoma, the White House said.

Denver police warned that a "visiting dignitary" would be causing congestion in metro-Denver traffic downtown, along I-70 and on I-225 between 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. "#TellYourFriends." police tweeted.

Pence will not be supporting any local candidates or attending any public events. He will be headlining a private fundraiser in Denver for President Donald Trump-supporting SuperPAC "America First Action."

Pence will land on Air Force Two at Buckley, then travel to The Palm steakhouse for the private luncheon.

He will then zip off to Tulsa, Oklahoma and Wichita, Kansas to hit other campaign events for GOP gubernatorial nominee Kevin Stitt and GOP Kansas governor hopeful Kris Kobach.

Pence's schedule is too tight to visit any local GOP events, although Trump did tweet his support Oct. 10 for GOP Governor candidate Walker Stapleton:
