  1. Janitors went on strike Friday at Denver International Airport — they say $17 isn't a living wage in Denver, and that they have been risking their lives to come to work during the pandemic. The strike comes amid a new contract between Flagship Facility Services and the workers' union, SEIU Local 105. Flagship agreed to start negotiations Saturday and the employees agreed to go back to work. (CBS Denver)
  2. AccuWeather says the return of a La Niña cycle could affect how much snow Denver receives and the severity of the polar vortex. Specific, long-term weather predictions can help with planning outdoor activities best suited for the cooler temps. To help you plan ahead, the private weather company AccuWeather has released its 2021 winter weather forecast. (Denver Patch)
  3. After requiring employees to be vaccinated, the Bonanno Concepts group will now require patrons to show proof of vaccination. The restaurant group includes some of our city's most popular eateries and concepts, such as Luca, Milk Market and Green Russel. (CBS Denver)
  4. Residents of multiple states, including Colorado, will soon be required to dial all 10 digits to make local calls within their area codes after the Federal Communications Commission adopted 988 as a new three-digit number to be used nationwide to reach the National Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Crisis Line. (Denver Patch)
