  1. RTD's new fare structure will include more free rides in the future. The Regional Transportation District is in the process of wrapping up a plan to revamp its fare system, which could result in reduced rates and an increased number of complimentary rides. (Westword)
  2. All this rain could turn into a proliferation of mosquitos and West Nile disease. With all of the recent precipitation, the City of Denver is preparing for the potential of increased mosquito activity. The program tests approximately 70 locations throughout the city on a weekly basis to assess the presence of mosquito larvae. (FOX31)
  3. Keeping someone housed is part of a plan to support mom-and-pop landlords. B-Konnected has successfully accommodated 23 individuals and helped avert eviction in 90 percent of the cases they have worked on. The private agency supports landlords to manage caseloads and provide comprehensive services to tenants. (Denverite)
  4. Denver area co-working space is giving free office space to bicyclists. To celebrate National Bike Week, flexible workspace provider IWG wants to prioritizing bicycle riding with a special offer of free co-working space to any oen biking to work, though this Friday, May 19. (Gazette)
  5. City ships off more than 5,000 migrants on buses this time around. Every day, hundreds of migrants arrive in Denver seeking refuge and assistance. The City of Denver indicates that the majority of the 10,000 individuals who have arrived since late last year, more than half have been shipped off other destinations via bus. (9News)
