Fatal Hit And Run: Denver Police Seek Driver In Santa Fe Crash
Police are offering a reward for information on a driver of a maroon "older model sports car" who killed a 52-year-old man on Oct. 6.

DENVER, CO – Denver police are asking for the public's help to find a hit-and-run driver who killed a pedestrian Oct. 6. Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is offering $2,000 to anyone with information about the accident that killed Jeffrey Huffman, 52.
Huffman died after he was struck by a car around 9 p.m. at the intersection of South Santa Fe Dr. and West Iowa Avenue. Huffman was taken to Denver Health, where he was declared dead, the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner said.
Witnesses described the involved car as a small, older model sports car, maroon or burgundy in color, possibly similar to a Mazda Miata or Honda S2000. Police believe the car had damage to the driver’s-side front fender from this collision. The car was last seen fleeing southbound on Santa Fe Drive from the scene, police said.
