​FBI Looks To Identify Man Who Robbed Denver Bank Twice

Up to $12,000 in reward money is available to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in these robberies.

DENVER — Authorities in Denver are asking for the public's help identifying a bank robber they say struck the same bank twice in four months.

In a news release the FBI's Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force and the Denver Police Department said the MidFirst Bank at 101 North Cook Street was robbed on July 24 and Oct. 9. Both robberies are believed to be committed by the same man.

The release describes the bank robber as a white man between 20 and 30 years old. He stands approximately 6 feet, 1 inch tall and has a medium to heavy build.

Authorities said the man was seen wearing blue jeans, a black Calvin Klein jacket, a black beanie, a black face mask and dark shoes with white stripes during the Oct. 9 robbery.

Both robberies were were committed in an armed take-over style, the release said.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,000 in exchange for information leading to the robber's arrest. MidFirst Bank is offering another $10,000 reward.

The FBI encourages residents to be on the lookout for anyone matching the robber's description or for anyone who recently changed their spending habits or mentioned suddenly coming into money.

Anyone with information about the robberies — or about any bank robbery — is asked to call the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force at 303-629-7171 or submit an anonymous tip calling CRIMESTOPPERS at 720-913-STOP (7867).
