Five-Points Double Shooting: 3 Charged In April Incident

DENVER, CO – Three men are in custody and have been charged in connection with an April double-shooting in the Five Points neighborhood, the Denver county District Attorney's Office said.

Vincent Harper, 29, Joshua Cunningham, 20 and Clemente Roberts, 19, are accused in the April 30 death of Jekylis Ross-Henderson, 26 in the 800 block of East 20th Avenue. Another man was wounded by gunshots, but survived.

Police offered a $2,000 reward in May for information leading to the arrest of suspects in the shooting.

All three men were charged Sept. 26 with counts of first-degree murder, attempted murder and assault, the Denver County DA's Office said Monday.

As part of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued Sept. 19 and Harper was arrested by Denver police the same day. Cunningham and Roberts were already in custody in the Arapahoe County jail on unrelated charges when arrest warrants were issued for them on Sept. 20, the DA's office said.

Few other details in the case are available, since a judge has sealed the arrest affidavits for all three men.

The murdered man went by the nickname "BamBam" according to his death notice.

Cunningham and Roberts are scheduled to appear in Denver District Court on Oct. 12. Harper’s advisement hearing was last Friday. His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 5.
