- More than 30 percent of Denver's residents are considered 'house poor.' A recent study of 155 U.S. cities shows the extent of the disparity between home costs and income levels. The study found that households spending more than 30 percent of their income on household expenses were classified as "cost-burdened" or "house poor" in the context of this research, which aligns with traditional budgeting advice. - Mayoral runoff candidate Mike Johnston picks up big endorsement from third place finisher and a coalition of Latino leaders. Despite both Johnston and his runoff opponent, Kelly Brough, being perceived as centrist figures closely associated with influential groups, former mayoral candidate, Dr. Lisa Calderón believes that Johnston's positions align more with progressive priorities.
