Here are the top stories in Denver today:
- How much snow could metro Denver see today? There will only be light snow showers between Wednesday afternoon and early Thursday with accumulation along the Front Range expected to be less than one inch. So far this year, Denver has received a total of 41.6 inches of snowfall this season, and historically, March is the snowiest month of the season. (FOX31)
- Denver's Larimer Square's future is less than certain. The buildings in Larimer have become worn and dilapidated over time. The rear portion of the 143-year-old Sussex Building is gradually sinking, and most of the other buildings on the block are in need of extensive repairs, which could cost as much as $60 million. (5280)
- The City of Denver has revealed it has spent over $760,000 on bus tickets for migrants. Since December, the City of Denver has bought bus tickets for more than 3,000 migrants – with destinations spanning from Georgia to Wisconsin. These tickets amounted to a cost of more than $766,810 and were purchased as part of Denver's $6 million initiative that's assisted nearly 5,000 migrants. (9News)
- Lawyers for Boulder King Soopers shooting suspect introduced information that indicates that he is schizophrenic. According to a recent court filing by defense lawyers for Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, the man accused of killing 10 people at a Colorado supermarket in 2021, have confirmed that he suffers from schizophrenia. This most detailed insight to date into the 23 year old's mental health. (CPR)
