Manhunt Is On For Alleged Shooter Of Denver Woman
Denver police seek Elijah Lucero, 19, who witnesses say, shot Briseidy Jimenez-Ortega, 20, Friday. He is considered "armed and dangerous."

DENVER, CO – UPDATE: On Wednesday, Denver police arrested Elijah Lucero, 19, in connection with a homicide that took place near 39th Avenue and Bryant Street.

Earlier in the month, Denver police offered a $2,000 reward for information about the location of a 19-year-old man accused of fatally shooting a 20-year-old woman in Denver on Sept. 7.

The woman was identified by the Denver Medical Examiner's Office as Briseidy Jimenez-Ortega. She was injured by gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital, where she died, police said.
"Numerous people" identified Lucero as the gunman in the incident, police said in a statement.

Lucero is described as a Hispanic Male, 5'7" in height and weighing 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Police warned that Lucero is to considered "armed and dangerous."
